SITES AND NATURAL TOURISTIC ATTRACTIONS

The country has lots of touristic attractions and appealing sights classified into 4 regions:

The Western area tourism of discovery, this area features phenomenal sites such as: The waterfalls of Karfigelah, the peaks of Sindhou, the domes of Fabedougou, Mount Tenakourou, Tengrela Lake of hippopotamus, the cliffs of Banfora, and the attraction of the historic city of Bobo Dioulasso. This area is one of the main excursion centers of Burkina Faso.

The Central aera of business and tourism, This area is touristic and international business center. The capital city, Ouagadougou and its vicinity feature exceptional attractions: the Bangr Weoogo Park, the game park of Ziniare, the museum of Manega, Laongo open museum of granite sculpture, the crocodile ponds of Sabou and Bazoule etc. This central area is also famous for the Panafrican Film and Television Festival of Ouagadougou (FESPACO), and for the Ouagadougou International Arts and craft show (SIAO) hosted every other even and odd year.

The Sahel exotic adventure: The Sahel is well known for its tourism of adventures and raids. The visitors remain impressed by the imperishable memory of the sand dunes, the sanctuaries of birds of Oursi pond, the cave paintings of Pobe Mengao and the colourful markets of Markoye and Gorom-Gorom.

The East Hunting and the tourism of vision: it is the country’s largest national park and reserves area. The Park of the W “represents the principal tourist attraction of the East of the country, home to all the west African species. For the amateurs of tourism related hunting, it is one paradise. The Park of Arly is an excellent observatory of the fauna of lions, buffaloes, hippopotamuses, elephants, dog-faced baboons, monkeys and other birds.

The southern earmarked by the Kassena traditional habitats of Tiebele : The area also hosts the Nazinga ranch.
